Our Lady’s College Success in Louth Enterprise Finals

On Tuesday the 27th of February three Transition Year Enterprise Groups represented Our Lady's College Greenhills in the Louth County Enterprise Finals in the Fairways in Dundalk. 18 schools from Louth attended the event on the day.

The enterprises and entrepreneurs representing Our Lady's College on the day included:

1. Badgers, Badges and Buddies by Iseult McDonnell, Amy Boylan, Kayla Burke, Stella Schwarz and Roisin Harvey

2. Twine Time by Amelie Douet Shanze Chaudhry, Emmy Carpen and Avery Kulajeva

3. Pop Off Cake Pops by Róisín Diskin, Moya Corrigan and Sophia Cunningham

The three groups from Greenhills were entered into the Senior Category of the competition. Twine Time, an eco-friendly sponge, hand made from sustainable and natural materials, secured Runner Up spot in the Senior Category. The sponge can be worn as a glove and offers a guilt-free cleaning solution with biodegradability and reduced environmental impact. This was an incredible achievement for the group and a result of their hard work throughout the year in building their successful business, with support from their teacher Ms. Tarrant. The group was presented with a purpose-built award, created by local ceramicist Sarah McKenna of Bridge Street Studios.

Well done to all TY's who participated in the Enterprise programme over the academic year.
