Ireland's Ambassador to The United States Geraldine Byrne Nason

It was with great pride the community of Our Lady's College witnessed past pupil and supporter of the school Geraldine Byrne Nason carry out her duties as Ambassador to the United States during the recent visit of President Biden. It was great to have two people with Louth roots centre stage last week. We wish her the best in the role as ambassador and we are delighted and proud that a past pupil would have such a prominent role on the national and world stage.  The Ceann Comhairle Séan Ó Fearghaíl TD  described her as an outstanding woman who has done our country proud. She has also done Greenhills proud and serves as an example not only to the women of Ireland but particularly to the students of Greenhills. We are walking with a spring in our step . Ó Fearghaíl said to President Biden you are amongst friends because you are one of us. Geraldine Byrne Nason is one of us and we are glad she is also our friend. Students daily benefit from her friendship in the AR room and we are looking forward to witnessing the next stage in her career. She is an inspiration to all our students.
