GAA

An Cumann Lúthchleas Gael

Since its foundation in the late 19th century, the GAA, or Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, has grown to become a major influence in Irish sporting life throughout Ireland and beyond. In recent years the ladies game has developed and progressed, and Our Lady’s College, Greenhills is a shining example of that.

Boasting players from different clubs littered around the Louth and Meath area, there is no doubting the strong Gaelic football tradition that is alive and kicking in the school. Three teams are entered annually into the Leinster championship at U-14, U-16 and Senior level, where everyone is given an opportunity to play and take part, regardless of ability, club or experience. Training takes place on the school grounds, both at lunchtime and after school for the various under age teams throughout the year. Anyone interested in playing or get involved are asked to get in contact with Mr Hill or Mr Kane.  All are welcome.
