Anita Sands is an international keynote speaker renowned for her thoughtful insights on the growing power of technology and what that means for business, leadership, and society.
After completing her leaving Certificate in Our Lady's College, Anita's academic journey continued at Queen’s University Belfast with an undergraduate degree in physics and applied mathematics and then a PhD in atomic and molecular physics. Anita Sands is an international keynote speaker renowned for her thoughtful insights on the growing power of technology and what that means for business, leadership, and society. Thanks to scholarships from the O’Reilly Foundation and the Fulbright Commission, she headed to the US where she graduated with a master's in public policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University. After a couple of years studying the global software industry as a Sloan Foundation industry fellow, I pivoted out of academia and into the world of financial services, where I spent the next decade. With the emergence of seismic technology shifts. Mobile, social, cloud, AI – trends that were disrupting everything around us. True to my nature, I simply couldn’t resist pivoting again and jumping into the heart of the action in Silicon Valley.
